Exhibition – Art Against Ageism

Women That Give warmly invites to you to Exhibition – “Art Against Ageism”, a powerful celebration of creativity, resilience, and the incredible talent of our seniors.

Date: February 22, 2025
Location: Kitchener City Hall, Kitchener ON.
Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

The exhibition showcases the inspiring artwork created by our senior women group for Art Against Ageism Project. Through painting, digital art, and mixed media,
these artists have expressed their stories, challenged stereotypes, and embraced the beauty of aging. Their work is a testament to strength, wisdom, and artistic spirit of our senior community.

Hope you can join us in honouring their achievements, supporting our seniors, and fostering a more inclusive and age-positive community.

Annual Winter Drive 2024

WTG’s 9th Annual Winter Drives concluded successfully Dec 3, 2024.

Huge thanks to our amazing partners for their generosity-  notably CIBC, UK Online Giving, African Aid International for their continued support and, Love Yourself Club and Tienda Movil and, our kind donors for making this a successful drive to support 400 children and our partner agencies, Interval House of Hamilton, Victim Services Of Peel, Youth Winning Youth and Guelph Wellington Women In Crisis. These donations are vital to our campaign as they provide an opportunity for disadvantaged kids to also enjoy the festive period like their peers.  We also extend our thanks to the individual donors who participated in the drive.

We are inviting corporate partners to join us in the new year to support this program. Please contact us at womenthatgive@gmail.com if you’d like to partner or sponsor.

Happy International Women’s Day

Women That Give marked the International Women’s Day celebration on March 3rd, 2024  at a beautiful venue, Cambridge Mill.  Happy Women’s Day to all the women here and around the world. We honor and celebrate women who continue to inspire us.

Our esteemed guests included Heads, CEOs of organizations, senior Executives of Corporations, Academia, and Individuals who believe in equality and are engaged in the empowerment of women.

Thank you to our speakers Hon. MP Bryan May and Lovely Sue Taylor Executive Director of Interval House of Hamilton for sharing words of encouragement and speaking on supporting women entrepreneurs & organizations such as WTG that are doing important work for women since their founding without any govt support for their core programming.

WTG showcased its journey since its inception, highlighting its work, the number of resources, and support services, that have been provided to marginalized women by their team’s 100% efforts and with private stakeholders.

The event also called for collective action to increase investments/ financing and create job opportunities to provide economic security, enhance the living conditions of marginalized women, and lift them from poverty.

Very thankful to all who participated in this Luncheon.  Thank you Akbar Shah Photography for covering our event. Thank you Cambridge Mill for the amazing food and service. Our guests loved the ambiance and the delicious lunch.  Huge thanks to our lovely MCee and our team of volunteers for making this a successful event.  Visit  here
