The COVID-19 crisis has presented challenges for so many, however, the impact on charities has been critical. There has been a significant increase for support services, as many people are earning less or facing unemployment. Decreased earnings also mean less donations, resulting in a lack of funds to support those who are especially struggling during this time.
At WTG, our mission is to help marginalized women and disadvantaged members in our communities. This includes women living in shelters who have had to flee their homes due to violence. As shelters struggle to meet growing demand, many people are left unable to meet their basic needs. For the duration of COVID-19, we are asking those who are able, to consider purchasing a gift card to a grocery store, pharmacy or other shop where necessities can be found.
We are also calling for in-kind donations of the following items:
Feminine hygiene products
Whether it’s a monetary or in-kind donation, every dollar and item will go to an individual or family that is desperately in need. Please visit our DONATE page to contribute or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a pick-up of items.
Huge Gratitude to each and everyone for your kind generosity to help us reach our goal, to support Victim Services of Peel . Together with the support kind donors, our awesome partners, and our friends, we are able to bring an early christmas to the disadvantaged kids in our communities, this Holiday season.
