

This year theme ‘Accelerate Action’ calls to promote and advocate for gender equality. UN Women theme “For ALL women and girls. Rights, Equality and Empowerment”; as they mark 30th anniversary- this action calls to empower and create priorities and develop a serious solutions.
So much more needs to be done for Women and girls! Ending violence against women, creating equal and deserving opportunities, and providing them their rights that they are still fighting and giving them an opportunity to lead a dignified life.
Women That Give(WTG) is dedicated to break down barriers and prevent violence against women and build safer communities. WTG provides resources, financial aid, education and training to marginalized women and women survivors of GBV and create opportunities for them to become independent and earn economic security. Our mission is to end violence against women and girls, support women find employment, pursue education, and access resources, including those in shelters.

WTG partnered with Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis to celebrate the International Women’s Day event on March 8, 2024 along with many other partner organizations. The event had fabulous speakers.
Women That Give provided delicious food, prepared by our food partner Streetside Munchies . WTG’s talented volunteer made beautiful henna art for the attendees. Women That Give marked the International Women’s Day celebration on March 3rd, 2024 at a beautiful venue, Cambridge Mill. Happy Women’s Day to all the women here and around the world. We honor and celebrate women who continue to inspire us.
Our esteemed guests included Heads, CEOs of organizations, senior Executives of Corporations, Academia, and Individuals who believe in equality and are engaged in the empowerment of women.
Thank you to our speakers Hon. MP Bryan May and Lovely Sue Taylor Executive Director of Interval House of Hamilton for sharing words of encouragement and speaking on supporting women entrepreneurs & organizations such as WTG that are doing important work for women since their founding without any govt support for their core programming.
WTG showcased its journey since its inception, highlighting its work, the number of resources, and support services, that have been provided to marginalized women by their team’s 100% efforts and with private stakeholders.
The event also called for collective action to increase investments/ financing and create job opportunities to provide economic security, enhance the living conditions of marginalized women, and lift them from poverty.
