Employment Initiative – Employment  Support

Many thanks to the meaningful partnership with Raise for supporting marginalized women and women affected by gbv directly or indirectly. The initiative provides tools and resources for career pathways.  Expert facilitators provide valuable sessions to assist these women with employment support. The training and workshops are provided free of cost and aim to better the lives of marginalized women and help improve their economic wellbeing.

Upon program completion WTG will provide a gift to the participants as token of appreciation and, future endeavours.

Successful 8thAnnual Winter Drive

Successful 8thAnnual Winter Drive

Huge thanks to our partners, donors, our board, and our volunteers for bringing smiles and spreading cheer among the disadvantaged children in our communities.  This winter drive, WTG was able to support 415 children and 40 families despite low donations. Huge thanks to our amazing partners for their generosity-  CIBC for their continued support,  notable mention of Chotai Law Professional Corporation and other partners, kind donors, and friends.

With the generous donations, WTG was able to support multiple partner agencies that have special programming for children and youth. Thanks very much for brightening the holidays for the children, youth and families in our communities.

Together with our collective efforts we can all truly make a difference in the lives of so many.

Our call to action continues for partnerships and funding, reach us if you’d like to partner or sponsor our programs partnerships@womenthatgive.ca

Gender Equality Week

Gender Equality Week September 17th to 23rd.

Canada introduced gender equality week in 2018 which takes place from September 17 to 23. Gender equality cannot be achieved unless women are provided an opportunity to live a dignified life and more work needs to be done. WTG has so many women who need assistance with employment, rent support, housing, and feeding their children and families.

We invite you to get involved, make a pledge, and support your local community. Support organizations that are assisting women facing hardships and challenges with poverty by making a donation and funding them.  Support women get employment, get decent housing. Single mothers, marginalized women are facing hardships to support their children, to pay bills, pay rent, purchase food, clothing, and basic necessities. Women survivors of GBV have little to nothing when they leave their abusive homes/surroundings. You can start at home by changing a life of one woman.  Thanks to all the men who are already committed to gender equality.
