Membership Co-Ordinator

Job Title:  Membership Co-Ordinator SUMMER STUDENT

Job Summary :
WomenThatGive is currently accepting applications from youth between the ages of 15–30 for the position of a Membership Co-Ordinator. 
This position will be 35hrs/ week for 8 weeks at $14 per hour. This position reports directly to CEO. The membership co-ordinator will be responsible for developing new memberships and the donor base.


    • Assist in the development of new membership opportunities. 
    • Create and manage a pipeline of new members and strategic partners in order to meet weekly targets.
    • Research and acquire opportunities to promote membership.
    • Become knowledgeable of the membership criteria and ensure the benefits are clearly presented to the new members.
    • Report to the CEO everyday. Attend weekly meeting onsite or online.
    • Develop and nurture effective partnerships with relevant businesses and organizations to grow membership & donor base.
    • Prepare mailing lists, assist in generating email campaigns for membership drives.
    • Identify potential new members, donors, community partners and professionals to solicit enrolment and support.


    • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport.
    • Ability to follow direction, meet deadlines, and well developed organizational skills.
    • Excellent time management skills and Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of standard computer software, internet use, and email. Knowledge of non-profit community is desirable.
    • Prior experience in business development is preferred.
    • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
