Job Title: Women’s Program Co-ordinator
Women That Give is currently accepting applications for Women’s Program Co-ordinator. The position offers 35 hours/week for 8 weeks funded through Canada Summer Job. Flexible hours available. The position is based in Waterloo.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates with community partners on matters related to program delivery.
Provides support and performs research to increase appropriate resources for women and children.
Assists with training programs and support services for women.
Provides support to the volunteer program.
Acts as a liaison to provide assistance through referral services and, to support outreach efforts.
Attending events is a requirement.
Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Attends weekly meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of charity or non-profit community agencies is desirable.
Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines and, excellent organizational and planning skills.
Eligibility Requirements: Be between the ages of 15 – 30 at the start of the employment • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment, and • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
