Water Wise Women

A Swimming Program For Senior and Older Women to promote healthy Aging by improving mobility, participation in sports, foster social connection and life long physical activity.

The program benefits newcomer, racialized older/senior women by providing gentle water awareness, beginner-friendly swimming lessons, and light aquatic movements. The lessons are facilitated by trained coaches prioritizing dignity, inclusion addressing common barriers such as fear of water, limited access and cultural exclusion. Our goal is to enrol at least 25 women each year into this program for optimal health benefits.
