Women That Give hosted Empowering Women, Strengthening Communities Aug 27th 2026 at Opal Palace, Oakville.
A special event organized by Women That Give in collaboration with the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Canada, bringing together women, community leaders, partners, and distinguished guests for an afternoon centred on empowerment, connection, and community impact.
Through this collaboration, Women That Give and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Canada came together around a shared commitment to advancing women’s empowerment and strengthening communities through partnership, dialogue, and collective action.
The event highlighted Women That Give’s ongoing commitment to supporting women facing social and economic barriers through programs that build confidence, skills, independence, and pathways to greater opportunity and economic security. The event also created a space to celebrate the women supported through the organization’s work and to strengthen relationships with community and institutional partners.
The event featured distinguished guest remarks - Sergeant/ Amy McGuire Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Unit, Halton Regional Police Service Amneh Abdallah Manager Of Developmental Support Services At Middlex Community Living, Hon Aislinn Clancy, MPP Member Of Provincial Parliament For Kitchener Centre and also a Panel with Hedaya Al-Qazil & Ghadier Alhawi
