Shalom Counselling Services is a not-for-profit community counselling agency that has been providing counselling services in Waterloo Region since 1983. Shalom invites applications for the position of:
COUNSELLOR (Salaried)
(.8 FTE/4 days per week)
Position begins: December 2020
This position is part of a counselling team of eight therapists who provide counselling services and consultation in the context of a multi-cultural, multi-faith community. As a Christian faith-based agency we honour and respect the diversity of persons, backgrounds and beliefs within our community.
We are looking for candidates who have:
• A minimum of a Master’s degree (MSW or equivalency)
• Accreditation with a recognized credentialing and regulatory body (ie. RSW, CRPO)
• A complementary fit with the mission and vision of Shalom Counselling.
• Advanced clinical skills complemented by broad clinical experience—competence in individual, couple, family and group counselling with clients from high school age to adult (5+ years experience preferred).
