The idea behind the campaign is to instill the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce the journey of India and those who have contributed towards creating this great nation. It is envisaged that all Indian community members shall be encouraged to hoist 'Tiranga' at their homes during the Independence week from 13th – 15th August.

(ii) Consulate General of India, Toronto in collaboration with Indo-Canada Arts Council is organizing a Yoga event at Oakes Garden Theatre, Clifton Hills, Niagara Falls on June 21, 2022 from 7.30 am to 9.30 am which will be conducted by respected Swami Sadyojathah.
(iii) In a unique celebration Consulate General of India, Toronto along with Canada India Foundation is organizing yoga day celebrations at Trillium Park, Toronto on June 21, 2022 from 10 am onwards.

Training: Participants complete 15 weeks of daily technical and professional
skills training delivered through a work-simulated approach. Participants

and corporate volunteers also deliver employability skills training in areas
like workplace communication and teamwork. Corporate partners also host
mentoring activities, site tours and job shadowing opportunities to facilitate
work-based, experiential learning.
Wraparound Supports: Human services professionals provide individual
counselling and make warm referrals to wraparound services in areas like
mental health, childcare and housing. Job placement and 5 yrs of Alumni support.
Online creative writing competition
The 5th edition of ‘परीक्षा पे चर्चा’ #PPC2022, the unique interactive programme of Hon’ble Prime Minister with students, teachers and parents will be held through online mode in February 2022. In order to select participants who will be featured in Pariksha Pe Charcha programme, an online creative writing competition is being conducted at https://www.mygov.in on various topics, for children of 9th to 12th classes, teachers and parents. About 2050 winners will receive a certificate and a special PPC Kit comprising of 'Exam Warriors' book in Hindi and English, written by Prime Minister. The competition is open to foreign students as well.

As part of the ongoing celebration of 75 years of India’s independence, the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Quiz is being conducted by Ministry of External Affairs with an aim to awaken the curiosity of the new generation to know more about India.
The online quiz is open for overseas Indian/Foreign youth in three distinct categories – PIOs, NRIs and Foreign nationals between the age group of 16 to 35 years i.e. born on or after 1 January 1987 and on or before 31 December 2005.
The quiz includes topics of Indian Mythology, Indian history, Freedom struggle, Language and Literature, Scientific achievements, Cinema, sports and many other interesting topics.
Top 3 winners from each category will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals with the AKAM logo from the Ministry.

Constitution Day shall be celebrated as part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' and Hon’ble President of India will be leading the celebrations of Constitution Day live from Central Hall of Parliament on 26th November 2021 at 11:00 AM (IST) which is 26 Nov 12.30 am (EST).
The Government of India aspires to make it a public campaign and for ensuring Jan Bhagidari, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has curated two activities for our diaspora at large:
- “Online Reading of the Preamble to the Constitution” - http://readpreamble.nic.in/
- “Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy” - http://constitutionquiz.nic.in/
The portal for the above-mentioned two activities will be launched by Hon’ble President on 26th November 2021 from Central Hall and thereafter it will be operational for use. After participation in the 'Reading of the Preamble' and the Quiz on Constitutional Democracy, certificates would be available which may be downloaded.
