Media Co-Ordinator

Job Title:  Media Co-Ordinator SUMMER STUDENT

Job Summary :
WomenThatGive is currently accepting applications from youth between the ages of 15–30 for the position of a Media Co-Ordinator 
This position will be 35hrs/ week for 8 weeks at $14 per hour. The position reports directly to CEO. The media coordinator will be responsible to manage and develop social media campaigns.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in developing digital marketing strategy to attract and generate new leads.
    • Manage and measure the success of engagement, on social media marketing campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube)
    • Research new content related strategies to help grow the brand and increase content engagement. 
    • Manage relationships with followers, fans and vendors.
    • Assist in execution of various Marketing initiatives (i.e. Digital marketing campaigns, newsletters, and advertising) 
    • Manage, create and publish original, high quality content & share success stories.
    • Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content.
    • Stay current with new digital technologies and social media best practices.
    • Report to the CEO everyday. Attend weekly meeting either on site or online.
    • Connect with local media to announce activities and prepare event and news announcements.
    • Work closely with the Executive team, researching, submitting and updating information as needed on social media platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent editing skills.
    • Proficient using social media networks and tools to build a community (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube)
    • Experience using social media for brand awareness and social publishing preferred.
    • Excellent multitasking skills.
    • Experience writing content for a public audience, preferred.
    • Experience working in a marketing department or agency preferred. 
    • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
    • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of the employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
